बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। राजीविका की स्टेट ब्रांड एंबेसडर व राष्ट्रपति द्वारा नारी शक्ति सम्मान से सम्मानित रूमा देवी रविवार को प्रातः 11 से सायं 4 बजे तक जयपुर रोड स्थित कृष्णांगन में आयोजित होने वाले ‘सावन तीज महोत्सव’ में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शिरकत करेंगी।

मदर्स करमा फाउंडेशन की सुमन चौधरी ने बताया कि महिलाओं की सांस्कृतिक भागीदारी, पारंपरिक कला-संस्कृति के संरक्षण और विभिन्न सामाजिक गतिविधियों में महिलाओं की सक्रिय भूमिका को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित होगा। इसमें मुख्य अतिथि श्रीमती रूमा देवी, नोखा विधायक श्रीमती सुशीला डूडी और लक्ष्मी देवी सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्र की प्रमुख महिलाएं भाग लेंगी।

सावन उत्सव में विभिन्न पारंपरिक लोक प्रस्तुतियाँ, मेहंदी-सजावट, सावन गीत, रक्षाबंधन संबंधी प्रतियोगिताएँ व महिला उद्यमिता प्रदर्शनी जैसी गतिविधियाँ होंगी।
रूमा देवी फाउंडेशन की प्रवक्ता कविता कुमारी ने बताया कि रूमा देवी द्वारा बीकानेर की ग्रामीण व शहरी महिलाओं के साथ आत्मनिर्भरता, कौशल विकास और स्वरोजगार के अवसरों पर संवाद किया जाएगा।

उल्लेखनीय है कि अन्तरराष्ट्रीय फैशन डिजाइनर रूमादेवी को अमेरिका की हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय ने बतौर अतिथि आमंत्रित किया था। वहीं राष्ट्रपति सम्मान के साथ केबीसी, इंडियन आयडल जैसे टीवी शो में भागीदारी के साथ अनेक राष्ट्रीय व अंतरराष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार व सम्मान से मिले हैं।

कार्यक्रम में स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधि, महिला संगठन सदस्य, स्वयंसेवी संस्थाएं व बड़ी संख्या में महिलाएं भाग लेंगी।

Bikaner, @MaruSangram. Ruma Devi, State Brand Ambassador of Rajivika and honoured with Nari Shakti Samman by the President, will participate as the chief guest in the ‘Sawan Teej Mahotsav’ to be organised at Krishnangan on Jaipur Road on Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.

Suman Chaudhary of Mother’s Karma Foundation said that this programme will be organised with the objective of encouraging women’s cultural participation, preservation of traditional art and culture and active role of women in various social activities. Prominent women from various fields including Chief Guest Smt. Ruma Devi, Nokha MLA Smt. Sushila Dudi and Lakshmi Devi will participate in it.

Sawan Utsav will have activities like various traditional folk presentations, mehndi decorations, Sawan songs, Rakshabandhan related competitions and women entrepreneurship exhibition.

Kavita Kumari, spokesperson of Ruma Devi Foundation, said that Ruma Devi will interact with rural and urban women of Bikaner on self-reliance, skill development and self-employment opportunities.

It is worth mentioning that international fashion designer Ruma Devi was invited as a guest by Harvard University of America. Apart from the Presidential Award, she has received many national and international awards and honours along with participation in TV shows like KBC, Indian Idol.

Local public representatives, women’s organisation members, voluntary organisations and a large number of women will participate in the programme.
