नई दिल्ली/काठमांडू, @MaruSangram। खेल, स्वास्थ्य सेवा एवं सामाजिक जागरूकता के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए बीकानेर की बास्केटबॉल खिलाड़ी एवं सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता डॉ. निशा लिंबा को अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मान से नवाजा गया है। 7 अगस्त 2026 को गांधी पीस फाउंडेशन, नेपाल की ओर से उन्हें “Honorary Doctorate in Sports & Health Care” की मानद डॉक्टरेट उपाधि प्रदान की गई। यह सम्मान Gandhian Society International के तत्वावधान में दिया गया।
डॉ. निशा लिंबा लंबे समय से खेल एवं सामाजिक सेवा के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रही हैं। वे बीकानेर जिला नेटबॉल संघ की सचिव के रूप में खेल प्रतिभाओं को प्रोत्साहित करने और खिलाड़ियों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही हैं। इसके साथ ही वे नशा मुक्ति अभियान में भी बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लेते हुए युवाओं एवं आमजन को नशे के दुष्प्रभावों के प्रति जागरूक कर रही हैं।
खेल, स्वास्थ्य एवं समाज सेवा के क्षेत्र में उनके समर्पण और उल्लेखनीय योगदान को देखते हुए मिला यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मान उनके लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि है। मानद डॉक्टरेट मिलने की सूचना के बाद उनके सहयोगियों, खिलाड़ियों, परिचितों एवं शुभचिंतकों में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई। सभी ने उन्हें बधाई देते हुए उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की।
सम्मान प्राप्त करने के बाद डॉ. निशा लिंबा ने गांधी पीस फाउंडेशन, नेपाल एवं गांधी सरदार फाउंडेशन का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त किया।

Bikaner basketball player and social activist Dr. Nisha Limba has been awarded an international honor for her outstanding contributions to sports, healthcare, and social awareness. On August 7, 2026, she was conferred the honorary doctorate degree of “Honorary Doctorate in Sports & Health Care” by the Gandhi Peace Foundation, Nepal. This honor was given under the auspices of Gandhian Society International.
Dr. Nisha Limba has been playing an active role in the fields of sports and social service for a long time. As Secretary of the Bikaner District Netball Association, she works tirelessly to encourage sports talent and promote athletes. She also actively participates in the drug de-addiction campaign, raising awareness among youth and the general public about the ill effects of drug abuse.
Given her dedication and remarkable contributions to the fields of sports, health, and social service, this international honor is a significant achievement for her. Upon receiving the honorary doctorate, her colleagues, athletes, acquaintances, and well-wishers were overjoyed. Everyone congratulated her and wished her a bright future.
