पंजाब के तरनतारन के मामले में पुलिस ने अब तक चार आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है।
मामले का खुलासा तरनतारन के एसएसपी अश्वनी कपूर ने किया। उन्होंने बताया कि पीड़ित महिला के बेटे को एक लड़की से प्यार हो गया था।

लड़की का परिवार इस शादी के खिलाफ था और लड़की की मां अपने दो बेटों और दो अन्य पुरुषों के साथ कोर्ट में शादी करने गई थी।
लड़के के घर पर उनके बीच तीखी बहस हो गई और दोनों पक्षों के बीच हाथापाई हो गई, इस दौरान लड़के की मां के कपड़े फट गए। मुख्य आरोपी गुरशरण, लड़की के भाई ने महिला का वीडियो बनाया।
शिकायत दर्ज करने से कुछ दिन पहले घर में मामला सुलझने की उम्मीद थी। लेकिन जैसे ही एफआईआर दर्ज हुई तो आरोपी ने वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल कर दिया। पुलिस की टीमें गठित आरोपी का अमृतसर बस स्टैंड से गिरफ्तार कर लिया। जानकारी के अनुसार वह राज्य से भागने की कोशिश कर रहा था।
