MGSU की खिलाड़ियों का वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स चीन हेतु चयन….
बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। महाराजा गंगा सिंह विश्वविद्यालय की दो खिलाड़ियों माया का हेमर थ्रो एवं निकिता लाम्बा का 20 किमी. पैदल चाल इवेन्ट में 28 जुलाई से 8 अगस्त तक आयोजित होने वाले वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स चेंगड़ू (चीन) में चयन हुआ है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि विश्वविद्यालय की ये दोनों खिलाड़ी भारतीय विश्वविद्यालय संघ का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए वर्ल्ड युनिवर्सिटी खेलों में भाग लेंगी। इस हेतु विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा इन दोनों खिलाड़ियों का प्रतियोगिता में होेने वाले समस्त खर्च 3,74,400/- रूपए वहन किया जाएगा। राजस्थान के समस्त विश्वविद्यालयों में इस प्रतियोगिता हेतु दो खिलाड़ियों का चयन हुआ है जो कि सर्वाधिक है।
विश्वविद्यालय का खेलों में गौरवमयी इतिहास रहा है, इसी क्रम में इस सत्र 2022-23 में राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विभिन्न खेलों में कुल तीन स्वर्ण, तीन रजत एवं सत्रह कांस्य पदक सहित कुल 23 पदक प्राप्त किए हैं। साथ ही विश्वविद्यालय के खिलाड़ियों ने विश्वविद्यालय के गठन 2004 के पश्चात से 2023 तक खेलों में राष्ट्रीय स्तर की अन्तर विश्वविद्यालयी प्रतियोगिताओं में कुल 200 पदक प्राप्त कर गौरवान्वित कर रिकॉर्ड स्थापित किया है।
विश्वविद्यालय के इतिहास में इससे पूर्व वर्ष 2019 में खिलाड़ी प्रदीप ने नेपोली (इटली) में आयोजित वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स के हैमर थ्रो इवेन्ट में भाग लिया था।
इस अवसर पर विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो. वी.के.सिंह, कुलसचिव अरुण प्रकाश शर्मा एवं खेल निदेशक डॉ. यशवंत गहलोत, तेजपाल भारती ने दोनों एथलीट को प्रतियोगिता में होने वाली खर्च राशि जारी कर हार्दिक बधाई देते हुए उज्जवल भविष्य की शुभकामनाएं दी।
MGSU players selected for World University Games China….
Bikaner, @MaruSangram. Two players of Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Maya’s Hammer Throw and Nikita Lamba’s 20 km. In the walking event, the selection has been done in the World University Games Chengdu (China) to be held from 28 July to 8 August.
It is noteworthy that both these players of the university will participate in the World University Games representing the Association of Indian Universities. For this, the university will bear all the expenses of these two players in the competition of Rs.3,74,400/-. Two players have been selected for this competition in all the universities of Rajasthan, which is the maximum.
The University has a glorious history in sports, in this sequence, in this session 2022-23, it has received a total of 23 medals including three gold, three silver and seventeen bronze medals in various sports at the national level. Along with this, the sportspersons of the university have proudly set a record by winning a total of 200 medals in national level inter-university competitions in sports since the formation of the university in 2004 till 2023.
Earlier in the history of the University, in the year 2019, player Pradeep participated in the hammer throw event of the World University Games held at Napoli (Italy).
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. VK Singh, Registrar Arun Prakash Sharma and Sports Director Dr. Yashwant Gehlot, Tejpal Bharti congratulated both the athletes by releasing the expenditure amount for the competition and wished them a bright future.
