बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। सरदार पटेल मेडिकल कॉलेज के प्राचार्य एवं नियंत्रक डॉ. गुंजन सोनी द्वारा मेडिकल कॉलेज में अध्ययरत विद्यार्थियों के शोध हेतु देहदान करने को लेकर सर्व समाज में जागरूकता बढ़ाने को लेकर अथक प्रयास किये जा रहे हैं, इस क्रम में मंगलवार को श्रीमती शकुंतला देवी के निधन के पश्चात उनके परिजनों ने मेडिकल कॉलेज के एनाटोमी विभाग में उनकी पार्थिव देह दान कर एक सकारात्मक संदेश सर्व समाज को दिया है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि स्मृतिशेष शकुंतला देवी सामाजिक कार्यों में सक्रिय संस्था सर्व मानव कल्याण समिति की संरक्षक थी। डॉ. रेखा आचार्य ने दिवंगत आत्मा को पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर शकुंतला देवी के परिजनों को दुःख की घड़ी में ढांढ़स बंधाया। आचार्य ने कहा कि समाज को बेहतर डॉक्टर प्रदान करने के लिए देहदान को लेकर सर्व समाज को जागरूक होना चाहिए।
इस दौरान अतिरिक्त प्राचार्य डॉ. रेखा आचार्य, डॉ. राकेश मणि, डॉ. राकेश रावत, डॉ. कविता पाहुजा, डॉ. गीता, डॉ जसकरण सिंह, डॉ. कालूराम मीणा, डॉ. खुशबू जोशी, डॉ. कौशल रंगा सहित एनाटोमी विभाग के समस्त कार्मिक एवं यूआईटी सचिव यशपाल आहूजा, सोहन सिंह मान, अनिल अग्रवाल उपस्थित रहे।

Dr. Gunjan Soni, Principal and Controller of Sardar Patel Medical College, is making tireless efforts to raise awareness in the entire society regarding the donation of bodies for the research of the students studying in the medical college, in this order, on Tuesday, after the death of Mrs. Shakuntala Devi. After that, his relatives have given a positive message to the entire society by donating his dead body to the Anatomy Department of the Medical College.
It is notable that Smritishesh Shakuntala Devi was the patron of Sarva Manav Kalyan Samiti, an organization active in social work. Dr. Rekha Acharya offered floral tributes to the departed soul and consoled the family members of Shakuntala Devi in their hour of grief. Acharya said that in order to provide better doctors to the society, the whole society should be aware about body donation.
