वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद पुलिस का एक्शन, जेल के सात अधिकारी निलंबित, पांच को गिरफ्तार किया
पंजाब, @MaruSangram। पंजाब पुलिस ने गोइंदवाल साहिब केंद्रीय जेल के सात अधिकारियों को निलंबित कर दिया है। इनमें से केंद्रीय जेल गोइंदवाल साहिब के अधीक्षक समेत पांच को ड्यूटी में लापरवाही बरतने पर निलंबित किया गया है और वीडियो लीक मामले में गैंगस्टरों से मिलीभगत के आरोप में गिरफ्तार भी कर लिया गया है।
यह कार्रवाई दो कैदियों बटाला के मनदीप सिंह उर्फ तूफान और बुढलाडा के मनमोहन सिंह उर्फ मोहना की मौत के बाद की गई है। दोनों को जेल के अंदर ही लॉरेंस गैंग के गुर्गों ने मौत के घाट उतारा दिया था। इसके बाद रविवार को गोइंदवाल साहिब केंद्रीय जेल का एक वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुआ। वीडियो में सचिन भिवानी और उसके साथी 26 फरवरी को जेल में दो गुटों के बीच हुई गैंगवार की घटना के बारे में बातचीत करते दिखाई दे रहे हैं।
रविवार को प्रेसवार्ता में पुलिस मुख्यालय के आईजी सुखचैन सिंह गिल ने बताया कि जिन पांच पुलिस मुलाजिमों को निलंबित कर गिरफ्तार किया गया है, उनमें जेल अधीक्षक इकबाल सिंह बराड़, अतिरिक्त जेल अधीक्षक विजय कुमार, सहायक जेल अधीक्षक हरीश कुमार, एएसआई जोगिंदर सिंह और एएसआई हरचंद सिंह शामिल हैं। अन्य दो निलंबित जेल अधिकारियों में अतिरिक्त जेल अधीक्षक जसपाल सिंह खैरा और हेड कांस्टेबल सविंदर सिंह शामिल हैं।

Police action after video went viral, seven jail officials suspended, five arrested
Punjab, @MaruSangram. The Punjab Police has suspended seven officials of the Goindwal Sahib Central Jail. Of these, five, including the Superintendent of Central Jail Goindwal Sahib, have been suspended for dereliction of duty and have also been arrested for conniving with gangsters in the video leak case.
This action has been taken after the death of two prisoners Mandeep Singh alias Toofan of Batala and Manmohan Singh alias Mohana of Budhlada. Both were killed inside the jail by the henchmen of the Lawrence gang. After this, a video of Goindwal Sahib Central Jail went viral on social media on Sunday. In the video, Sachin Bhiwani and his accomplices are seen talking about the incident of gang war between two groups in the jail on 26 February.
In a press conference on Sunday, Police Headquarters IG Sukhchain Singh Gill said that the five policemen who have been suspended and arrested include Jail Superintendent Iqbal Singh Brar, Additional Jail Superintendent Vijay Kumar, Assistant Jail Superintendent Harish Kumar, ASI Joginder Singh and ASI Harchand Singh is included. The other two jail officials suspended are Additional Jail Superintendent Jaspal Singh Khaira and Head Constable Savinder Singh.
