महाराजा गंगा सिंह विश्वविद्यालय ने जारी की सार्वजनिक सूचना, अनधिकृत सोशल मीडिया खातों पर होगी सख्त कार्रवाई
बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। महाराजा गंगा सिंह विश्वविद्यालय, बीकानेर द्वारा विश्वविद्यालय के नाम, लोगो एवं पहचान का दुरुपयोग कर संचालित किए जा रहे अनधिकृत सोशल मीडिया खातों, पेजों एवं चैनलों के संबंध में सार्वजनिक सूचना जारी की गई है।
विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया है कि विभिन्न सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म जैसे Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp एवं X आदि पर विश्वविद्यालय के नाम अथवा लोगो से मिलते-जुलते कई अनधिकृत अकाउंट संचालित किए जा रहे हैं, जिन्हें विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा किसी प्रकार की अनुमति प्रदान नहीं की गई है।
विश्वविद्यालय ने आशंका जताई है कि ऐसे फर्जी खातों के माध्यम से भ्रामक सूचनाएं प्रसारित कर विद्यार्थियों एवं आमजन के साथ धोखाधड़ी तथा वित्तीय ठगी की जा सकती है, जिससे विश्वविद्यालय की प्रतिष्ठा एवं विद्यार्थियों के हित प्रभावित हो सकते हैं।
जारी सूचना में कहा गया है कि जो भी व्यक्ति अथवा संस्था विश्वविद्यालय के नाम, लोगो या पहचान चिह्न का उपयोग करते हुए बिना लिखित अनुमति के सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट या चैनल संचालित कर रहे हैं, वे इस सूचना के प्रकाशन के 15 दिनों के भीतर ऐसे सभी खातों को स्वयं बंद अथवा डिलीट कर दें। निर्धारित अवधि में अनुपालन नहीं होने पर संबंधित व्यक्तियों एवं संस्थाओं के विरुद्ध विधिक प्रावधानों के अंतर्गत कठोर कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन ने भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) 2023, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी अधिनियम 2000 तथा ट्रेड मार्क्स अधिनियम 1999 के विभिन्न प्रावधानों का उल्लेख करते हुए चेतावनी दी है कि दोषी पाए जाने पर कारावास एवं जुर्माने का प्रावधान है।
विश्वविद्यालय ने यह भी बताया कि अधिकृत एवं सत्यापित सोशल मीडिया खातों की सूची विश्वविद्यालय की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर उपलब्ध है। विद्यार्थियों एवं आमजन से अपील की गई है कि वे केवल विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकृत सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म एवं वेबसाइट से ही जानकारी प्राप्त करें। किसी भी अनधिकृत खाते की जानकारी मिलने पर उसे विश्वविद्यालय के ई-मेल mgscomplaint@mgsubikaner.ac.in पर सूचित करने का आग्रह किया गया है।
साथ ही विश्वविद्यालय ने शिक्षकों, विद्यार्थियों एवं आमजन से ऐसे फर्जी खातों की जानकारी मिलने पर संबंधित सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर “Fake Account/Impersonation” के रूप में रिपोर्ट करने की अपील की है, ताकि उन पर शीघ्र कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जा सके।

Maharaja Ganga Singh University issues public notice, strict action will be taken against unauthorized social media accounts
Bikaner, @MaruSangram. Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner has issued a public notice regarding unauthorized social media accounts, pages, and channels being operated by misusing the university’s name, logo, and identity.
The university administration has clarified that several unauthorized accounts resembling the university’s name or logo are being operated on various social media platforms, such as Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, and X, without any permission from the university.
The university has expressed concern that these fake accounts may be spreading misleading information and committing fraud and financial fraud against students and the public, potentially affecting the university’s reputation and student interests.
The notice issued states that any individual or organization operating a social media account or channel using the university’s name, logo, or identifier without written permission should voluntarily close or delete all such accounts within 15 days of the publication of this notice. Failure to comply within the stipulated time period will result in strict legal action against the individuals and organizations concerned under the applicable legal provisions.
The university administration, citing various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) 2023, the Information Technology Act 2000, and the Trademarks Act 1999, warned that those found guilty face imprisonment and fines.
The university also stated that a list of authorized and verified social media accounts is available on the university’s official website. Students and the public are urged to obtain information only from the university’s authorized social media platforms and websites. If they become aware of any unauthorized accounts, they are requested to report them to the university’s email address: mgscomplaint@mgsubikaner.ac.in.
The University has also appealed to teachers, students and the general public to report such fake accounts as “Fake Account/Impersonation” on the concerned social media platform if they come across any such fake accounts, so that prompt action can be taken against them.
