बीकानेर/तामिलनाडु, @MaruSangram। तमिलनाडु सरकार ने कॉटन कैंडी की बिक्री पर तत्काल प्रभाव से रोक लगा दी है। यह फैसला फूड एनालिसिस के बाद लिया गया। राज्य में बेची जा रही कॉटन कैंडी में कैंसर पैदा करने वाला केमिकल मिले हैं।

कॉटन कैंडी कई लोगों की फेवरेट मिठाई रही है। खासतौर से बच्चे इसे बड़े मन से खाते हैं। यह अपनी नरम बनावट और अनूठे स्वाद के चलते मशहूर है। उत्तर भारत के गांवों में कॉटन कैंडी को लोग ‘बुढ़िया के बाल’ के तौर पर भी जानते हैं। इसका जिक्र होते ही अक्सर बचपन की यादें ताजा हो जाती हैं। हालांकि, कॉटन कैंडी खाने वालों को अब अलर्ट हो जाने की जरूरत है।

तमिलनाडु सरकार ने कॉटन कैंडी की बिक्री पर रोक लगा दी है। यह फैसला फूड एनालिसिस के बाद लिया गया। राज्य में बेची जा रही कॉटन कैंडी में कैंसर पैदा करने वाले केमिकल मिले हैं।
तमिलनाडु के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मा सुब्रमण्यम ने कॉटन कैंडी पर बैन लगाने की जानकारी दी।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय की ओर से बताया गया कि कॉटन कैंडी में रोडामाइन-बी मिला है। इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए कॉटन कैंडी को उपभोग के लिए असुरक्षित माना गया है। मिनिस्ट्री ने खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक अधिनियम (2006) के तहत कॉटन कैंडी की बिक्री पर रोक लगा दी।

मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया, ‘अधिनियम के अनुसार विवाह समारोहों और सार्वजनिक समारोहों में रोडामाइन-बी वाले खाद्य पदार्थों की पैकेजिंग, आयात, बिक्री और परोसना दंडनीय अपराध है।’

तमिलनाडु के अलावा इस राज्य में भी पाबंदी 
राज्य के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सुब्रमण्यन ने कहा कि अधिकारियों को जांच करने और प्रतिबंध का उल्लंघन करने वालों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने का निर्देश जारी हुआ है।

मालूम हो कि तमिलनाडु के पड़ोसी केंद्र शासित प्रदेश पुडुचेरी में कॉटन कैंडी पर पहले से प्रतिबंध है। यह पाबंदी इस प्रोडक्ट में जहरीला रसायन पाए जाने के बाद लगाई गई थी।

पुडुचेरी में कॉटन कैंडी पर प्रतिबंध की घोषणा उपराज्यपाल तमिलिसाई साउंडराजन ने हफ्ते भर पहले ही की थी। कॉटन कैंडी को बनाने में रोडामाइन-बी के इस्तेमाल को जहरीला बताया गया है।

उपराज्यपाल ने अधिकारियों को कॉटन कैंडी बेचने वाली दुकानों में जांच करने का निर्देश दिया। उन स्टॉक को जब्त करने के लिए भी कहा गया, जहां जहरीले रसायन मिले थे।

Cotton candy has been the favorite sweet of many people. Especially children eat it with great heart. It is famous for its soft texture and unique taste. Cotton candy is also known as ‘old lady’s hair’ in the villages of North India. Whenever this is mentioned, childhood memories are often refreshed. However, cotton candy eaters need to be alert now.

Tamil Nadu government has banned the sale of cotton candy. This decision was taken after food analysis. Cancer-causing chemicals have been found in cotton candy being sold in the state.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramaniam informed about ban on cotton candy.

It was reported by the Health Ministry that Rhodamine-B has been found in cotton candy. With this in mind, cotton candy has been deemed unsafe for consumption. The ministry banned the sale of cotton candy under the Food Safety and Standards Act (2006).

A press release issued by the ministry said, ‘As per the Act, packaging, importing, selling and serving food items containing Rhodamine-B at wedding ceremonies and public gatherings is a punishable offence.’

Apart from Tamil Nadu, restrictions in this state also
State Health Minister Subramanian said instructions have been issued to officials to investigate and take action against those violating the ban.

It is known that cotton candy is already banned in Puducherry, the neighboring union territory of Tamil Nadu. This ban was imposed after poisonous chemicals were found in this product.

The ban on cotton candy in Puducherry was announced by Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan a week ago. The use of Rhodamine-B in making cotton candy has been declared poisonous.
