स्वास्थ्य विभाग के दल ने हुक्के व फ्लेवर किए जब्त
बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। बीकानेर शहर के विभिन्न कैफे में अवैध रूप से संचालित हुक्का बार पर संभागीय आयुक्त डॉ. नीरज के पवन के नेतृत्व में स्वास्थ्य विभाग के दल ने औचक कार्यवाही की है। बुधवार शाम मॉडर्न मार्केट के पास अग्रसेन सर्किल स्थित हवाना कैफे में चल रहे हुक्का बार पर कार्यवाही की गई।
अवैध रूप से हुक्का पीते हुए युवाओं को समझाईश कर भेजा गया। उपयोग किए जा रहै हुक्के व फ्लेवर जप्त किए गए। इस पर नियमानुसार विभागीय कार्यवाही की जाएगी।
डॉ. नीरज के पवन ने स्पष्ट किया कि सार्वजनिक अथवा व्यवसायिक रूप से किसी भी स्थान पर हुक्का बार का संचालन अवैध है। इसे किसी भी रूप में चलने नहीं दिया जाएगा। जहां से भी शिकायत प्राप्त होगी वहां तत्काल कार्यवाही की जाएगी। पास ही म्यूजिक विज़न गिफ्ट शॉप में भी निरीक्षण किया गया जहां विभिन्न तंबाकू फ्लेवर विक्रय के लिए रखे थे उसे भी जब्त कर लिया गया।
बोथरा कंपलेक्स के बेसमेंट में स्थित एक कैफे में भी एक पुराना हुक्का पड़ा मिला उसे जब्त किया गया। इसके अलावा जेएनवी कॉलोनी में कैफे जलसा व केबीसी का निरीक्षण किया गया परंतु वहां हुक्का बार संचालित नहीं पाया गया। व्यवसायी के अनुसार पूर्व में हुई कार्यवाहियों के बाद में उनके द्वारा यह कार्य बंद किया जा चुका है।
मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी डॉ मोहम्मद अबरार पवार ने जानकारी दी कि राष्ट्रीय तंबाकू नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम के जिला प्रकोष्ठ प्रभारी रविंद्र प्रताप सिंह राठौड़ द्वारा शहरी क्षेत्र के विभिन्न कैफे की रेकी की गई तथा एक साथ सभी स्थानों पर विभिन्न टीमें बनाकर कार्यवाही को अंजाम दिया गया।
उन्होंने बताया कि 31 मई को तंबाकू निषेध दिवस के अवसर पर पूरे माह विभिन्न गतिविधियां व कार्यवाहियां संचालित की जाएंगी।
कार्यवाही में तंबाकू नियंत्रण प्रकोष्ठ के कमल पुरोहित व देवीदान सिंह चारण अहम भूमिका में रहे।

Health department team seized hookahs and flavors
Bikaner, @MaruSangram. Under the leadership of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Neeraj K Pawan, the health department team has taken surprise action on hookah bars operating illegally in various cafes of Bikaner city. Action was taken on Wednesday evening on the hookah bar running at Havana Cafe located in Agrasen Circle near Modern Market.
Illegally smoking hookah, the youth were sent after persuasion. Hookahs and flavors being used were seized. Departmental action will be taken on this as per rules.
Dr. Neeraj K Pawan clarified that it is illegal to operate hookah bar at any place, whether public or commercial. It will not be allowed to run in any form. Wherever the complaint is received, immediate action will be taken. The nearby Music Vision Gift Shop where various tobacco flavors were kept for sale was also inspected and seized.
An old hookah was also found lying in a cafe located in the basement of Bothra Complex and it was seized. Apart from this, Cafe Jalsa and KBC were inspected in JNV Colony but hookah bar was not found operating there. According to the businessman, this work has been stopped by him after the previous proceedings.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mohammad Abrar Pawar informed that various cafes in the urban area were reikied by Ravindra Pratap Singh Rathore, district cell in-charge of the National Tobacco Control Program and action was taken simultaneously by forming different teams at all places.
He informed that on the occasion of Tobacco Prohibition Day on May 31, various activities and actions will be conducted throughout the month.
