National Scholarly Seminar Organized in Bikaner on the Relevance of Manusmriti…
Bikaner, @MaruSangram. Under the joint auspices of the Aarsh Trust and the Vedic Research Institute, a grand “Scholarly Symposium” is being organized at Hotel Panigrahan in Bikaner on October 3rd and 4th, 2026, in two sessions each day. The main theme of this two-day national symposium is “Manusmriti: How Appropriate is Support or Opposition?”
The primary purpose of this symposium is to present an unbiased and academic discussion by dispelling the misconceptions and extremism prevalent in Indian society regarding Manusmriti.
Manusmriti is not only the first systematic jurisprudence and Aarsh text of ancient India, but also the historical foundation of Indian culture and social order. This seminar has been organized to understand the reality behind the current opposition to, or blind support for, certain passages.
In this seminar, renowned scholars from across the country will delve deeply into the historical, cultural, and social perspectives of the Manusmriti. Scholars will shed light on how interpolations were added to the text over time, and how its core humanistic and Vedic principles should be reintroduced to society.
The symposium will discuss the pros and cons of the entire Manusmriti, the right or wrong to consider interpolations, the caste system, the penal system, the marriage system, women’s rights, and other topics in detail.
Eminent scholars such as Dr. Surendra Kumar (Gurugram), Acharya Ravindra (Hamirpur), Muni Satyajit (Rozad), Dr. Sudhir Arya (JNU, Delhi), Acharya Sheetal (Rozad), Dr. Shivlochan Shandilya (BHU), Acharya Hari Prasad (Hyderabad), Acharya Ravi Shankar (Bayana), Dr. Deepak Arya (Rozad), Utkarsh Arya (Kanpur), Aryan Acharya (Rohtak), and Prof. Shatrunjay Rawat (IIIT, Hyderabad), Dr. Nandita Singhvi (Bikaner), Kesarmal (Phalodi), and Dr. Chanchal Pathak (Bikaner) will deliver their lectures.
The program also includes a yagya discourse, discussions, and a night-long satsang. This event will be held under the auspices of the Environmental Nutrition Yagna Committee, Bikaner. The organizers have urged Bikaner’s dignitaries, religious-minded citizens, and curious individuals to participate in this symposium in large numbers.
