बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। भाजपा संभाग कार्यालय, बीकानेर में “आपातकाल : संविधान की हत्या” विषयक कार्यक्रम भाजपा शहर जिलाध्यक्ष सुमन छाजेड़ एवं भाजपा देहात जिलाध्यक्ष श्याम पंचारिया की अध्यक्षता में गरिमामय वातावरण में सम्पन्न हुआ। कार्यक्रम में लोकतंत्र सेनानियों (मीसाबंदियों) का सम्मान किया गया तथा आपातकाल के दौरान लोकतंत्र की रक्षा के लिए किए गए संघर्ष और बलिदान को स्मरण करते हुए संविधान एवं लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों की रक्षा का संकल्प दोहराया गया।

मुख्य वक्ता राजस्थान सरकार में राजस्थान धरोहर संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन प्राधिकरण के अध्यक्ष एवं कैबिनेट मंत्री दर्जा प्राप्त ओंकार सिंह लखावत ने कहा कि 25 जून 1975 को लगाया गया आपातकाल भारतीय लोकतंत्र के इतिहास का सबसे काला अध्याय था। उन्होंने कहा कि तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के चुनाव को लेकर उठे विवाद और लोकनायक जयप्रकाश नारायण के नेतृत्व में चल रहे भ्रष्टाचार विरोधी जनआंदोलन से घबराकर आपातकाल लागू किया गया। इस दौरान नागरिकों के मौलिक अधिकार निलंबित कर दिए गए, न्यायालय जाने के अधिकार तक सीमित कर दिए गए तथा विपक्षी नेताओं और हजारों लोकतंत्र सेनानियों को मीसा के तहत जेलों में डाल दिया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी, लालकृष्ण आडवाणी सहित अनेक विपक्षी नेताओं को भी जेल में बंद किया गया। लखावत ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र की रक्षा के लिए आपातकाल की सच्चाई नई पीढ़ी तक पहुंचाना आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा कि बीकानेर की धरती से कहना चाहते हैं कि कांग्रेस आपातकाल जैसे लोकतंत्र-विरोधी कृत्य के लिए इतिहास के सामने कभी मुक्त नहीं हो सकती।

बीकानेर पश्चिम विधायक जेठानंद व्यास ने कहा कि आपातकाल का इतिहास केवल एक घटना नहीं, बल्कि लोकतंत्र की रक्षा का सबसे बड़ा सबक है। प्रत्येक कार्यकर्ता और युवा पीढ़ी को उस दौर की वास्तविकता से अवगत कराना आवश्यक है, ताकि भविष्य में लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों पर किसी भी प्रकार का आघात न हो।

डूंगरगढ़ विधायक ताराचंद सारस्वत ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र सेनानियों का त्याग और संघर्ष हर पीढ़ी के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत है। संविधान और लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों की रक्षा के लिए हमें सदैव सजग, संगठित एवं समर्पित रहना होगा।

Bikaner, @MaruSangram. A program titled “Emergency: Murder of the Constitution” was held in a dignified atmosphere at the BJP Division Office, Bikaner, under the chairmanship of BJP City District President Suman Chhajed and BJP Rural District President Shyam Pancharia. The program honored democracy fighters (MISA detainees) and, remembering the struggle and sacrifice made to protect democracy during the Emergency, reiterated the pledge to protect the Constitution and democratic values.

Keynote speaker Onkar Singh Lakhawat, Chairman of the Rajasthan Heritage Conservation and Promotion Authority and Cabinet Minister of State in the Rajasthan government, said that the Emergency imposed on June 25, 1975, was the darkest chapter in the history of Indian democracy. He said that the Emergency was imposed out of fear of the controversy surrounding the election of then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the ongoing anti-corruption movement led by Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. During this period, fundamental rights of citizens were suspended, their right to access courts was restricted, and thousands of opposition leaders and democracy fighters were imprisoned under MISA. He said that many opposition leaders, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani, were also imprisoned. Lakhawat said that to protect democracy, it is essential to convey the truth about the Emergency to the new generation. He said that he wants to say from the land of Bikaner that Congress will never be absolved in history for anti-democratic acts like the Emergency.

Bikaner West MLA Jethananand Vyas said that the history of the Emergency is not just an incident, but a significant lesson in protecting democracy. It is essential to make every worker and the younger generation aware of the reality of that era, so that democratic values are not compromised in the future.

Dungargarh MLA Tarachand Saraswat said that the sacrifice and struggle of the democratic fighters is a source of inspiration for every generation. To protect the Constitution and democratic values, we must always remain vigilant, organized, and dedicated.

Media coordinator Kamal Gehlot reported that during the program, Moolchand Solanki, Brahmanand Gehlot, Virendra Singh Yadav, Ashutosh Rawal, Shridutt Dave, Sohan Singh Sodha, Narayan Singh Yadav, Daulatlal Gehlot, Lalit Prasad Ranga, Ashok Kumar Vyas, Narbadashankar Acharya, and MISA detainees, who were present on the stage, shared their experiences during the Emergency and recalled the struggle to protect democracy.

The program was conducted by BJP District Vice President and Coordinator Ashok Prajapat.
