प्रेम विवाह कर चुकी 19 साल की लड़की ने थाने में भी पति के साथ रहने की इच्छा जताई. इससे नाराज पिता ने कथित तौर पर पुलिसकर्मियों की मौजूदगी में बेटी पर चाकू से हमला कर दिया, जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई।

नई दिल्ली, MaruSangram। यूपी के बांदा की रहने वाली 19 साल की एक लड़की को पड़ोस के लड़के से प्यार हो गया। एक दिन वो परिवार को बिना बताए प्रेमी के साथ घर छोड़कर चली गई. पिता ने पुलिस में गुमशुदा रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराई। पुलिस ने लड़की का पता लगाया और उसे थाने लेकर आए। लड़की के माता-पिता को भी थाने बुलाया गया।

वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में बातचीत कर मामले को सुलझाने की कोशिश की जा रही थी। इसी बीच लड़की ने जिद कर दी कि वह प्रेमी के साथ ही रहना चाहती है‌। पिता को कथित तौर पर ये बात ऐसी नागवार गुजरी कि पुलिस के सामने ही उन्होंने बेटी के पेट में चाकू मार दिया। लड़की की मौत हो गई. आरोपी पिता को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया‌।

इंडिया टुडे की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, चौंकाने वाली ये घटना बांदा के बदौसा पुलिस थाने में हुई‌। पुलिस ने बताया कि लड़की 18 मई को अपने प्रेमी के साथ चली गई थी। लड़की के माता-पिता ने इसके बाद बेटी के लापता होने की सूचना थाने को दी।

बांदा के एसपी पलाश बंसल ने बताया कि पुलिस ने तलाशी अभियान चलाया। 12 जून को उसका पता भी लगा लिया. कानूनी तरीके से उसे सुरक्षित वापस लाया गया। थाने में उसके मां और पिता को भी बुलाया गया. पुलिस अधिकारियों के सामने उसकी काउंसिलिंग की जा रही थी। बातचीत से मामले को सुलझाने के प्रयास किए जा रहे थे।

पुलिस के मुताबिक, घर छोड़ने के बाद लड़की ने प्रेमी से शादी भी कर ली थी:
इस बीच परिवार और रिश्तेदार उसे घर वापस आने के लिए मनाते और समझाते रहे, लेकिन तमाम कोशिश के बाद भी वह घर लौटने के लिए तैयार नहीं थी‌।

थाने में भी जब उसके माता-पिता के सामने काउंसिलिंग चल रही थी, तो उसने घर लौटने से इनकार कर दिया और जिद पर अड़ गई कि वो अपने पति के साथ ही रहेगी। पुलिस ने बताया कि इसके बाद पिता ने आपा खो दिया और बेटी के पेट में चाकू मार दिया।

घायल युवती को तुरंत अतारा सरकारी अस्पताल ले जाया गया। हालत गंभीर देख डॉक्टरों ने उसे मेडिकल कॉलेज रेफर कर दिया लेकिन तब तक काफी देर हो गई थी। मेडिकल कॉलेज में डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।

A 19-year-old woman, who had entered into a love marriage, expressed her desire to live with her husband even while at the police station. Enraged by this, her father allegedly attacked her with a knife in the presence of police personnel, resulting in her death.

New Delhi, MaruSangram: A 19-year-old woman from Banda, UP, fell in love with a young man from the neighborhood. One day, she left home with her lover without informing her family. Her father filed a missing person report with the police. The police located the woman and brought her to the police station; her parents were also summoned there.

Efforts were being made to resolve the matter through discussions in the presence of senior officers. Meanwhile, the woman insisted that she wanted to live with her lover. Her father was allegedly so infuriated by this that he stabbed his daughter in the abdomen right in front of the police. The woman died, and the accused father was arrested.

According to an India Today report, this shocking incident took place at the Badausa police station in Banda. Police stated that the woman had left with her lover on May 18, after which her parents reported her missing.

Banda SP Palash Bansal stated that the police launched a search operation and located her on June 12. She was brought back safely through legal procedures. Her parents were called to the police station, and she was undergoing counseling in the presence of police officers; attempts were being made to resolve the issue through dialogue.

According to the police, the woman had also married her lover after leaving home:
Meanwhile, family members and relatives kept trying to persuade and reason with her to return home, but despite all efforts, she remained unwilling to go back. Even during counseling at the police station in the presence of her parents, she refused to return home and adamantly insisted on staying with her husband. The police stated that, at this point, her father lost his temper and stabbed her in the abdomen.

The injured young woman was immediately rushed to Atarra Government Hospital. Observing her critical condition, doctors referred her to the medical college, but it was already too late; doctors at the medical college declared her dead.
