कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता की मौत, पुलिस के आंसू गैस की चपेट में आया
असम, @MaruSangram। असम प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष भूपेन बोराह और असम में विपक्ष के नेता देबब्रत सैकिया ने कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता मृदुल इस्लाम की मौत की कड़ी निंदा की है।
विपक्ष का आरोप है कि गुवाहाटी में विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान एक आंसू गैस के गोले से उनके घायल होने के कारण उनकी मौत हुई। पुलिस ने इन आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए कहा है कि इस्लाम के शरीर पर कोई चोट नहीं थी।
यह घटना 18 दिसंबर को गुवाहाटी के राजभवन के बाहर कांग्रेस के एक प्रदर्शन के दौरान हुई। यह रैली केंद्र सरकार की नीतियों के विरोध में असम भर में आयोजित किसान आंदोलन का हिस्सा थी और मणिपुर के लोगों के साथ एकजुटता के लिए निकाली जा रही थी।
एपीसीसी के मुताबिक, पार्टी के कानूनी सचिव इस्लाम, आंसू गैस के गोलों के माध्यम से की गई पुलिस कार्रवाई के दौरान घायल हो गए थे। उन्हें गुवाहाटी मेडिकल कॉलेज ले जाया गया, जहां उनकी मौत हो गई।
पुलिस ने इन आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए कहा कि इस्लाम ने अस्पताल ले जाने से पहले बेचैनी की शिकायत की थी।
गुवाहाटी के पुलिस आयुक्त दिगंता बोराह ने कहा, “मृतक के शरीर पर कोई चोट नहीं है। हालांकि, वह विरोध में शामिल था। पोस्टमॉर्टम ही उनकी मौत के असली कारण को उजागर करेगा। हमे बताया गया कि उसने बेचैनी की शिकायत की और अस्पताल ले जाया गया। हमने केवल प्रदर्शनकारियों को तितर-बितर करने के लिए तीन आंसू गैस के गोले रोल किए थे।”

Congress worker dies, came under the grip of police tear gas
Assam, @MaruSangram. Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupen Borah and Leader of Opposition in Assam Debabrata Saikia have strongly condemned the death of Congress worker Mridul Islam.
The opposition alleges that he died due to injuries sustained from a tear gas shell during a protest in Guwahati. The police have rejected these allegations and said that Islam had no injuries on his body.
The incident took place during a Congress demonstration outside the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati on December 18. The rally was part of the farmers’ movement organised across Assam in protest against the policies of the central government and was being taken out in solidarity with the people of Manipur.
According to the APCC, Islam, the party’s legal secretary, was injured during police action through tear gas shells. He was rushed to the Guwahati Medical College, where he died.
The police rejected the allegations, saying Islam had complained of uneasiness before being taken to the hospital.
Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Borah said, “There are no injuries on the deceased’s body. However, he was involved in the protest. Only the postmortem will reveal the real cause of his death. We were told that he complained of uneasiness and was taken to the hospital. We only rolled three tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.”
