जयपुर, @MaruSangram। राजस्थान में राजस्थानी साहित्य विभाग की स्थापना और छात्रसंघ चुनाव बहाली की मांग को लेकर छात्र नेता शुभम रेवाड़ का आमरण अनशन लगातार 13वें दिन भी जारी है। उनकी तबीयत बिगड़ने के बाद उन्हें जयपुर के सवाई मानसिंह (SMS) अस्पताल के ICU में भर्ती कराया गया है, जहां डॉक्टरों की टीम लगातार निगरानी कर रही है।
ICU से ही शुभम रेवाड़ ने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म X पर पोस्ट कर मुख्यमंत्री भजनलाल शर्मा और उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री प्रेमचंद बैरवा से सवाल किया है कि जब मध्यप्रदेश में हाईकोर्ट के निर्देश के बाद आठ साल बाद छात्रसंघ चुनाव कराए जा सकते हैं, तो राजस्थान में छात्रसंघ चुनाव क्यों नहीं कराए जा रहे।
डॉक्टरों ने जताई गंभीर चिंता
डॉक्टरों के अनुसार लंबे समय से भोजन नहीं करने के कारण शुभम रेवाड़ के शरीर में कीटोन्स का स्तर काफी बढ़ गया है। मेडिकल जांच में कुछ आंतरिक अंगों पर भी असर दिखाई दिया है। चिकित्सकों ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि जल्द अनशन समाप्त नहीं हुआ तो किडनी सहित अन्य अंगों के प्रभावित होने का खतरा बढ़ सकता है।
30 जुलाई को अस्पताल में कराया गया था भर्ती
30 जुलाई को पुलिस और प्रशासन ने बिगड़ती स्वास्थ्य स्थिति को देखते हुए शुभम रेवाड़ को अनशन स्थल से उठाकर SMS अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया था। इस दौरान छात्रों ने विरोध भी किया, लेकिन प्रशासन ने इसे स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा के लिए आवश्यक कदम बताया।
मध्यप्रदेश का दिया उदाहरण
मध्यप्रदेश में जबलपुर हाईकोर्ट के निर्देश के बाद सितंबर 2026 में सभी सरकारी कॉलेजों और विश्वविद्यालयों में छात्रसंघ चुनाव कराने का निर्णय लिया गया है। इसी का हवाला देते हुए शुभम रेवाड़ ने राजस्थान सरकार से भी छात्रसंघ चुनाव बहाल करने और राजस्थानी साहित्य विभाग खोलने की मांग दोहराई है।

Student leader Shubham Rewad’s hunger strike continues for the 13th day, demanding the establishment of a Rajasthani Literature Department and the resumption of student union elections in Rajasthan. Following his deteriorating health, he has been admitted to the ICU of Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, where a team of doctors is constantly monitoring him.
From the ICU, Shubham Rewad posted on the social media platform X, questioning Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Higher Education Minister Premchand Bairwa: If student union elections can be held in Madhya Pradesh after eight years following a High Court directive, why are student union elections not being held in Rajasthan?
Doctors express serious concern
According to doctors, Shubham Rewad’s ketone levels have increased significantly due to prolonged periods of abstinence. Medical examinations have also revealed effects on some internal organs. Doctors have warned that if the fast is not ended soon, the risk of damage to other organs, including the kidneys, could increase.
Admitted to hospital on July 30
On July 30, due to his deteriorating health, the police and administration removed Shubham Rewad from the hunger strike site and admitted him to SMS Hospital. Students protested during the protest, but the administration described it as a necessary step for health safety.
