बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। बीकानेर जिले के खाजूवाला में 23 नवंबर को सडक़ किनारे अज्ञात व्यक्ति का शव मिला।
शिनाख्त नहीं होने के कारण पुलिस ने उसका अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया था, लेकिन 13 दिन बाद कपड़े और जूते से मिली पहचान की। दाहिने हाथ पर अमरजीत चौहान लिखा देख कर पहचान की गई।
पता चला कि वह श्रीगंगानगर के अनूपगढ़ थाना में तैनात कॉन्स्टेबल अमरजीत चौहान था।
सडक़ किनारे मिला था शव
कार्यवाहक थानाधिकारी हरपाल सिंह ने बताया कि 23 नवंबर रविवार को राहगीरों ने सूचना दी खाजूवाला से 7 किमी. दूर खाजूवाला-रावला सडक़ मार्ग पर चक 7 पीएचएम बस स्टैंड के पास सडक़ किनारे एक युवक का शव मिला था। शव उल्टे मुंह पड़ा था और उसकी जेब में न फोन था, न कोई कागजात। इसी वजह से उसकी पहचान नहीं हो सकी थी।
6 दिन मॉच्र्युरी में रखा, फिर दफनाया
शव को खाजूवाला अस्पताल की मॉच्र्युरी में पहचान के लिए 6 दिन रखा गया। जब कोई सामने नहीं आया तो पोस्टमॉर्टम के बाद पुलिस ने मानवीय आधार पर अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया। इस दौरान मांगीलाल गोदारा और हेड कॉन्स्टेबल खिंयाराम मौजूद थे।
कपड़े और जूते से मिली पहचान की कड़ी
इस दौरान खाजूवाला पुलिस ने मृतक के कपड़े व जूते आदि रखवाए थे ताकि शिनाख्त कर परिजनों का पता लगाया जा सकें। श्रीगंगानगर जिले के अनूपगढ़ पुलिस थाना में अमरजीत चौहान कॉन्स्टेबल (राजस्थान पुलिस) के पद पर पदस्थापित था। इससे पहले वह श्रीगंगानगर में ट्रैफिक पुलिस के पद पर था। वह पिछले कुछ समय से अनूपगढ़ पुलिस थाना में पदस्थापित था।
मृतक युवक के हाथ पर लिखा था नाम
खाजूवाला पुलिस थाना के सहायक उप निरीक्षक मांगीलाल गोदारा ने बताया कि मृतक के दाहिने हाथ पर अमरजीत चौहान नाम लिखा था। जिसका रंग सांवला तथा लंबाई करीब 5 फुट 5 इंच थी। जिसके स्लेटी रंग का ट्रैक शूट व स्केचर्स कंपनी के जूतों के अलावा जॉकी कंपनी के अंडरगार्मेंट्स पहन रखे थे।
हालांकि इस संबंध में खाजूवाला पुलिस ने एक पत्र राजस्थान, पंजाब, हरियाणा में संबंधित थानाधिकारियों को सूचना के लिए जारी किया था ताकि शिनाख्त होने व वारिसान की जानकारी हो सकें।
डीएएनए से हुई अंतिम पुष्टि
शव का अंतिम संस्कार पहले ही हो चुका था, इसलिए अब पहचान की पुष्टि के लिए शनिवार को डीएनए सैंपल लिया गया है। रिपोर्ट आने के बाद पुलिस अधिकारी स्तर पर औपचारिक पुष्टि की।
दफनाए हुए शव को निकाला बाहर, किया परिजनों को सुपुर्द,
6 दिन इंतजार के बाद पहचान नहीं होने पर मजिस्ट्रेट के निर्देशन में पुलिस ने पोस्टमार्टम करवाकर शव का अंतिम संस्कार किया लेकिन शनिवार को मृतक के परिजन पहुंचें खाजूवाला पुलिस थाना।
मृतक की पहचान अनूपगढ थाना के कांस्टेबल अमरजीत चौहान के रूप में हुई। शनिवार को पुलिस ने मजिस्ट्रेट के निर्देशन पर दफनाए हुए शव को बाहर निकाला और परिजनों को सुपुर्द कर दिया।
कॉन्स्टेबल अमरजीत चौहान मूल रूप से श्रीगंगानगर जिले में लालगढ़ के पास हाकमाबाद का रहने वाला था। वह 23 नवंबर को खाजूवाला आ रहा था। जहां खाजूवाला के निकटवर्ती ग्राम पंचायत 3 पावली में चक 1 केजेड़ी में मृतक अमरजीत के ताऊ रहते है, वहां मिलने के आ रहा था।

The police had cremated him due to his identity not being known, but 13 days later, he was identified by his clothes and shoes. The name Amarjeet Chauhan was found on his right hand.
It was discovered that he was Constable Amarjeet Chauhan, posted at Anupgarh police station in Sri Ganganagar.
Body found on the roadside
Acting Station Officer Harpal Singh stated that on Sunday, November 23rd, passersby reported that the body of a young man was found on the roadside near the Chak 7 PHM bus stand on the Khajuwala-Rawala road, 7 km from Khajuwala. The body was lying face down, with no phone or documents in his pockets. This is why he could not be identified.
Kept in the mortuary for six days, then buried
The body was kept in the Khajuwala hospital mortuary for six days for identification. When no one came forward, the police performed the last rites on humanitarian grounds after the postmortem. Mangilal Godara and Head Constable Khiyaram were present during the ceremony.
Clothes and shoes provide a link to identification
During this period, Khajuwala police had preserved the deceased’s clothes and shoes to help identify him and locate his family. Amarjeet Chauhan was posted as a constable (Rajasthan Police) at the Anupgarh police station in Sri Ganganagar district. Previously, he served as a traffic police officer in Sri Ganganagar. He had been posted at the Anupgarh police station for some time.
The deceased youth’s name was written on his hand.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Mangilal Godara of Khajuwala Police Station stated that the name Amarjeet Chauhan was written on the deceased’s right hand. He was dark-skinned and approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was wearing a gray tracksuit, Skechers shoes, and Jockey undergarments.
However, Khajuwala police issued a letter in this regard to the relevant police station officers in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana to inform them of identification and heir information.
Final DNA Confirmation
The body had already been cremated, so a DNA sample was taken on Saturday to confirm the identity. After the report arrived, a formal confirmation was made at the police officer level.
Buried body exhumed, handed over to family
After waiting for six days, when the body was not identified, the police conducted a post-mortem under the direction of a magistrate and cremated the body. However, on Saturday, the deceased’s family arrived at the Khajuwala Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Constable Amarjeet Chauhan of Anupgarh police station. On Saturday, under the direction of a magistrate, the police exhumed the buried body and handed it over to the family.
Constable Amarjeet Chauhan was originally from Hakamabad, near Lalgarh in Sri Ganganagar district. He was visiting Khajuwala on November 23rd to meet his uncle, who lives in Chak 1 Kejri, Gram Panchayat 3 Pawali, near Khajuwala.
