बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। पांच दिन पहले वृद्ध दंपती की हत्या के मामले का शुक्रवार को बीकानेर पुलिस द्वारा पर्दाफाश कर दिया गया है।
उक्त प्रकरण का खुलासा प्रेसवार्ता के दौरान करते हुए एसपी कावेन्द्र सिंह सागर ने बताया कि मुक्ताप्रसाद नगर के मकान नंबर 4/13 में रहने वाले बुजुर्ग दंपती आर्मी से रिटायर्ड गोपाल वर्मा (67) और उनकी पत्नी निर्मला वर्मा (60) का शव 15 जुलाई को घर में मिला था, जिसके बाद गुरुवार को उनका पोस्टमार्टम हुआ।
एसपी कावेन्द्र सिंह ने बताया कि 13.07.2025 को रात्रि करीब 09-10 पीएम के बीच घर में घुसकर वृद्ध दम्पती का गला घोंटकर हत्या कर दी व मकान में तलाशी कर जेवरात व नगदी लूटकर ले गये व जाते समय मुख्य द्वार पर ताला लगा गये ताकि किसी को शक नहीं हो व घटना का पता नही लगे।
मुख्य षडयन्त्रकर्ता अरूण औझा व उसकी पत्नी प्रियंका मृतकगण के मकान में बतौर किरायेदार निवास करते थे, जहां पर पत्नी प्रियंका के माता-पिता व भाई भी आकर रुकते थे। इसी दौरान मकान मालिक से बात होने के कारण अरुण औझा द्वारा मकान खाली कर दिया गया परन्तु अरूण औझा के ससुर कर्मवीर व साला प्रियांशु मृतक मकान मालिक गोपाल वर्मा के लगातार सम्पर्क में थे।
आरोपियों ने षडयन्त्रपूर्वक वृद्ध दम्पती का अकेला निवास करना जानकार अन्य पूर्ण प्लानिंग से बाहर के अन्य आरोपियों की सहायता से हत्या कर दी।
मर्डर से पहले टीवी की आवाज तेज की…
बताया जा रहा है कि आरोपियों ने हत्या के दौरान हॉल में लगे टीवी की आवाज तेज कर दी जिससे आवाज बाहर नहीं जा सके। पुलिस ने मुख्य सूत्रधार अरूण औझा को डिटेन कर घटना की जानकारी ली व कड़ी से कड़ी जोड़ते हुए कुल तीन आरोपीगणों को गिरफतार करने तथा अन्य तीन आरोपीगणों को नामजद करने में सफलता प्राप्त की है। वर्तमान में टीमों द्वारा अन्य आरोपीगणों की तलाश जारी है। गौरतलब है कि वर्मा दंपती के 2 बेटे हैं और दोनों ही बीकानेर में नहीं रहते। ऐसे में दोनों से रोज फोन पर बात होती थी। रविवार की रात से ही दोनों के फोन बंद आ रहे थे। ऐसे में बेटों ने ही किसी को भेजकर घर पर पता किया।
पुलिस की सात टीमों ने किया खुलासा
पुलिस की 7 टीमों ने 80 से अधिक सीसीटीवी फुटेज और मोबाइल डेटा के आधार पर आरोपियों को ट्रेस किया। पैसे और सम्पत्ति के लालच में यह वारदात की गई है। तथा सभी उत्तर प्रदेश और बीकानेर के निवासी बताए गए हैं। तीन आरोपियों अरुण, प्रिया और रोहित को दबोचा गया है। मामले में एएसपी सौरभ तिवारी, थानाधिकारी विजेन्द्र सिला, विक्रम तिवारी, विश्वजीत सिंह, जसवीर और साइबर सेल के दीपक यादव की अहम भूमिका रही।
इस मर्डर से एक सबक लेना चाहिए। पुलिस प्रशासन आपकों ऐसे ही सचेत नहीं करते हैं बार बार कि किरायदार का पुलिस वेरिफिकेशन करवाएं। बीकानेर सहित देश भर में बढ़ रहीं ऐसी हत्याओं से सबक लेकर आपके घर में रहने वाले किरायदारों का पुलिस वेरिफिकेशन जरूर करवाएं।

Bikaner, @MaruSangram. The case of murder of elderly couple five days ago has been exposed by Bikaner Police on Friday.
Disclosing the above case during a press conference, SP Kavendra Singh Sagar said that the bodies of elderly couple, retired from the Army, Gopal Verma (67) and his wife Nirmala Verma (60), living in house number 4/13 of Mukta Prasad Nagar, were found in the house on July 15, after which their post-mortem was done on Thursday.
SP Kavendra Singh said that on 13.07.2025, around 09-10 PM, the accused entered the house and strangled the elderly couple to death. They searched the house and looted the jewellery and cash. While leaving, they locked the main door so that no one would suspect anything and the incident would not be known.
The main conspirator Arun Ojha and his wife Priyanka used to live as tenants in the house of the deceased, where the parents and brother of wife Priyanka also used to come and stay. During this time, the house was vacated by Arun Ojha due to talks with the landlord, but Arun Ojha’s father-in-law Karmaveer and brother-in-law Priyanshu were in constant touch with the deceased landlord Gopal Verma.
The accused, knowing that the elderly couple was living alone, conspired and murdered them with the help of other accused outside the house with complete planning.
TV volume increased before murder…
It is being told that during the murder, the accused increased the volume of the TV in the hall so that the sound could not go out. Police detained the main mastermind Arun Ojha and got information about the incident and by connecting the dots, they have succeeded in arresting a total of three accused and naming three other accused. Currently, the search for other accused is going on by the teams. It is worth noting that the Verma couple has 2 sons and both of them do not live in Bikaner. In such a situation, both of them used to talk on the phone daily. Both of their phones were switched off since Sunday night. In such a situation, the sons sent someone to find out at home.
Seven police teams revealed
Seven police teams traced the accused on the basis of more than 80 CCTV footage and mobile data. This crime has been committed due to greed for money and property. And all are said to be residents of Uttar Pradesh and Bikaner. Three accused Arun, Priya and Rohit have been arrested. ASP Saurabh Tiwari, Thanadhikari Vijendra Sila, Vikram Tiwari, Vishwajit Singh, Jasvir and Deepak Yadav of Cyber Cell played an important role in the case.
A lesson should be learnt from this murder. The police administration does not warn you repeatedly to get the police verification of the tenant done without any reason. Learning a lesson from such murders increasing in Bikaner and across the country, definitely get the police verification of the tenants living in your house done.
