बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। मुक्ताप्रसाद नगर के मकान नंबर 4/13 में रहने वाले बुजुर्ग दंपती की लूट के लिए हत्या की गई। हत्यारों ने चुन्नी से पति-पत्नी का गला घोंटा और घर से नकदी-जेवरात लूटकर फरार हो गए। पुलिस को शक है कि वारदात में शामिल लोग परिचित हैं और किरायेदार हो सकते हैं।

आर्मी से रिटायर्ड अधिकारी गोपाल वर्मा 67 और उनकी पत्नी निर्मला वर्मा 60 मुक्ताप्रसाद नगर के मकान नंबर 4/13 में रहते थे। मंगलवार को दिन में घर के आंगन में ही दोनों के शव बरामद हुए थे। लूट के लिए बुजुर्ग दंपती की हत्या की गई। हत्यारे परिचित थे जो घर के अंदर गए और बाद में पति-पत्नी की चुन्नी से गला घोंटकर हत्या कर दी। हत्या के बाद घर का कमरा और स्टोर खंगाला। वहां रखे नकदी-जेवरात लेकर फरार हो गए। हत्यारों ने घर के बाहर ताला भी लगाया।‌ जिससे कि किसी को शक ना हो।

पुलिस ने अब तक की छानबीन में माना है कि वारदात में परिचित लोग शामिल हैं जो रविवार को गोपाल वर्मा के घर गए। कुछ देर बातचीत के बाद दंपती की हत्या की और लूट के बाद फरार हो गए।

पुलिस को आशंका है कि घर के ऊपर किराये पर रहने वाले लोग वारदात में शामिल हैं। इसी एंगल से जांच और खोजबीन की जा रही है। पूर्व में रहे किरायेदारों के बारे में जानकारी जुटाई गई और उनकी तलाश की जा रही है। सीसीटीवी खंगाले गए हैं।

मृतक गोपाल के भाई गोस्वामी चौक के पास निवासी राधाकिशन वर्मा की ओर से पुलिस को रिपोर्ट दी गई है जिसमें हत्या और लूट का आरोप लगाया गया है। पूर्व में रहे एक किरायेदार पर शक भी जताया है। पुलिस उससे पूछताछ कर रही है। पुलिस ने दोनों शवों का पोस्टमार्टम करवाया। इससे पहले परिजन और समाज के लोग हत्यारों की गिरफ्तारी को लेकर धरने पर बैठ गए। पुलिस अधिकारियों ने तीन दिन में हत्यारों की गिरफ्तारी का आश्वासन दिया।

हत्यारे एक से ज्यादा : राधाकिशन
मृतक गोपाल के भाई राधाकिशन वर्मा ने बताया कि हत्यारे परिचित थे। वे घर में काफी देर रुके। पूरा घर खंगाला। अलमारी, पलंग, अटैची सब चेक किया। वारदात को अंजाम दिया और नकदी-जेवरात ले गए। हत्यारे एक से ज्यादा थे। क्योंकि, गोपाल वर्मा हमेशा लोटे से पानी पीते थे। जबकि, टेबल पर तीन गिलास पड़े थे। इससे आशंका है कि हत्यारों ने वारदात से पहले बातचीत की और पानी भी पीया। हत्यारों को पता था कि घर में रहने वाले दंपती अक्सर रात को बाहर ताला लगाकर दूसरे गेट से घर में जाकर सोते थे। वारदात के बाद हत्यारे इसी तरह बाहर ताला लगा गए। घर में टीवी-एसी चल रहे थे।

ऐसे चला पता : मृतक गोपाल वर्मा का एक बेटा गुड़गांव और दूसरा कनाडा में रहता है। गुड़गांव में रहने वाले बेटे अजय वर्मा ने मंगलवार को अपनी मां को फोन किया था तो नो-रिप्लाय था। पिता गोपाल वर्मा का मोबाइल स्विच ऑफ आया। उसने पड़ोस में रहने वाले परिचित को फोन किया। वो मौके पर पहुंचा तो घर के बाहर ताला लगा था और अंदर दुर्गंध आ रही थी। किसी अनहोनी की आशंका पर उसने अजय को फोन किया। अजय ने गोस्वामी चौक के पास रहने वाले अपने चाचा राधाकिशन को फोन किया। वो मुक्ताप्रसाद नगर अपने भाई के घर पहुंचे और पुलिस को बुलाया गया। पुलिसकर्मी ताला तोडकर अंदर गए तो दंपती के शव पड़े नजर आए।

सुराग मिले जिस पर काम कर रहे हैं: एएसपी सिटी
एएसपी सिटी सौरभ तिवाड़ी ने बताया कि दंपती की हत्या के संबंध में सुराग मिले हैं जिस पर काम कर हत्यारों का पता लगाया जा रहा है। पुलिस को घर के ऊपर बने कमरे से किरायेदार का बैग और कपड़े बरामद हुए हैं। पड़ोस में निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है। वहां के लोगों से भी पूछताछ की जा रही है। जल्दी ही हत्यारों को नामजद कर उन तक पहुंचेंगे।

Bikaner, @MaruSangram. An elderly couple living in house number 4/13 of Mukta Prasad Nagar was murdered for robbery. The murderers strangled the husband and wife with dupatta and fled after looting cash and jewellery from the house. Police suspect that the people involved in the crime are acquaintances and may be tenants.

Retired army officer Gopal Verma 67 and his wife Nirmala Verma 60 lived in house number 4/13 of Mukta Prasad Nagar. On Tuesday, the bodies of both were found in the courtyard of the house during the day. The elderly couple was murdered for robbery. The killers were acquaintances who went inside the house and later strangled the husband and wife with their dupatta and killed them. After the murder, they searched the room and store of the house. They fled with the cash and jewellery kept there. The killers also locked the house from outside so that no one suspects them.

In the investigation so far, the police has admitted that acquaintances are involved in the crime who went to Gopal Verma’s house on Sunday. After talking for a while, they killed the couple and fled after the robbery.

The police suspect that the people living on rent above the house are involved in the crime. Investigation and search is being done from this angle. Information has been collected about the previous tenants and they are being searched. CCTVs have been scanned.

Deceased Gopal’s brother Radhakishan Verma, resident near Goswami Chowk, has given a report to the police in which murder and robbery have been alleged. Suspicion has also been raised on a former tenant. Police is questioning him. Police got the post-mortem of both the bodies done. Before this, the family and the people of the society sat on a dharna demanding the arrest of the murderers. Police officials assured the arrest of the murderers in three days.

More than one murderer: Radhakishan
Deceased Gopal’s brother Radhakishan Verma said that the murderers were acquaintances. They stayed in the house for a long time. Searched the whole house. Checked the cupboard, bed, briefcase, everything. Committed the crime and took away cash and jewellery. There were more than one murderers. Because, Gopal Verma always drank water from a pot. Whereas, there were three glasses on the table. This raises the suspicion that the murderers talked and also drank water before the crime. The murderers knew that the couple living in the house often used to lock the door outside at night and go inside the house from the other gate and sleep. After the crime, the murderers locked the door outside in the same way. TV and AC were running in the house.

This is how it was found out: Deceased Gopal Verma’s one son lives in Gurgaon and the other in Canada. When son Ajay Verma, who lives in Gurgaon, called his mother on Tuesday, there was no reply. Father Gopal Verma’s mobile was switched off. He called an acquaintance living in the neighbourhood. When he reached the spot, the house was locked from outside and a foul smell was coming from inside. Fearing something untoward, he called Ajay. Ajay called his uncle Radhakishan living near Goswami Chowk. He reached his brother’s house in Mukta Prasad Nagar and the police was called. When the policemen broke the lock and went inside, the bodies of the couple were found lying there.

Clues have been found on which work is being done: ASP City
ASP City Saurabh Tiwari said that clues have been found regarding the murder of the couple, on which the killers are being traced. The police have recovered the tenant’s bag and clothes from the room built above the house. Construction work is going on in the neighbourhood. People from there are also being questioned. Soon the killers will be named and will be reached.
