बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। जिला काँग्रेस कमेटी शहर व देहात के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री व देश के सबसे युवा प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी के बलिदान दिवस पर राजीव गांधी की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण व पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर याद किया गया। शहर अध्यक्ष यशपाल गहलोत व देहात अध्यक्ष बिशनाराम सियाग की संयुक्त अध्यक्षता में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान उनके चित्र पर पुष्प अर्पित कर कार्यकर्ताओं ने जब तक सूरज चांद रहेगा-राजीव जी का नाम रहेगा और राजीव गांधी अमर रहे” के नारे लगाकर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।
शहर अध्यक्ष यशपाल गहलोत ने कहा कि अल्प समय के राजनीति के अल्प कार्यकाल में ही राजीव गांधी ने 18 वर्ष के नौजवान को मतदान का अधिकार, पंचायतीराज तथा संचार क्रांति की सौगात देकर देश को प्रगति के रास्ते पर आगे बढ़ाया था।
देहात अध्यक्ष बिशनाराम सियाग ने कहा कि 1985 में राजीव गांधी ने प्रधानमंत्री रहते हुए दलबदल विरोधी कानून पारित किया था।
इस कानून के अनुसार संसद या विधानसभा का कोई भी निर्वाचित सदस्य अगले चुनाव तक विपक्षी पार्टी में शामिल नहीं हो सकता।
1986 में राजीव गांधी ने जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय की स्थापना की। जो ग्रामीण भारत में कक्षा 6 से 12 तक मुफ्त आवासीय शिक्षा प्रदान करता है।
1986 में एमटीएनएल की स्थापना की गई जिसने पीसीओ की मदद से भारत को टेलीफोन नेटवर्क से जोड़ा।
पूर्व केबिनेट मंत्री गोविंदराम मेघवाल ने कहा कि राजीव गांधी द्वारा लाई गई संचार क्रांति का उपयोग देश में कृषि, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, परिवहन एवं अनेक क्षेत्रों में किया गया।राजीव गांधी के जीवन से देश के युवाओं को विशेष रूप से प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए।
जिला संगठन महासचिव मार्शल प्रहलाद सिंह ने बताया कि इस अवसर पर जिला प्रमुख मोडाराम मेघवाल, प्रदेश महासचिव गजेन्द्र सिंह, प्रदेश कांग्रेस के सांगिलाल मेघवाल, इकबाल मलवान, सुषमा बारूपाल, डॉ प्रीति मेघवाल, फरमान कोहरी, भँवर कूकणा, अमरीक सिंह आदि ने भी सम्बोधित किया।

Under the joint aegis of District Congress Committee city and rural, former Prime Minister and country’s youngest Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was remembered on Balidan Diwas by offering garlands and floral tributes to the statue of Rajiv Gandhi. During this program organized under the joint chairmanship of city president Yashpal Gehlot and rural president Bishnaram Siyag, the workers paid tribute to him by offering flowers on his picture and raising slogans like “Jab Tak Suraj Chand Rahega-Rajiv Ji Ka Naam Rahega and Rajiv Gandhi Amar Rahe”.
City president Yashpal Gehlot said that in his short tenure in politics, Rajiv Gandhi had taken the country forward on the path of progress by giving the gift of voting rights, Panchayati Raj and communication revolution to the 18-year-old youth.
Rural president Bishnaram Siyag said that in 1985, Rajiv Gandhi had passed the anti-defection law while being the Prime Minister.
According to this law, no elected member of Parliament or Assembly can join the opposition party till the next election.
In 1986, Rajiv Gandhi established Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Which provides free residential education from class 6 to 12 in rural India.
MTNL was established in 1986, which connected India to the telephone network with the help of PCO.
Former Cabinet Minister Govind Ram Meghwal said that the communication revolution brought by Rajiv Gandhi was used in agriculture, education, health, transport and many other areas in the country. The youth of the country should especially take inspiration from the life of Rajiv Gandhi.
