शतरंज की चालों में अब भारतीय शातिर भी तोड़ रहे रिकॉर्ड : महावीर रांका

बीकानेर, @MaruSangramnews। चेस ओलंपियाड के इतिहास में भारत ने पहली बार वो कर दिखाया है, जो 97 सालों में इससे पहले कभी नहीं हो सका।

डी गुकेश और अर्जुन एरिगैसी के दम पर भारत ने चेस ओलंपियाड के ओपन सेक्शन में गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया है। इसके अलावा महिला सेक्शन में भी भारत ने गोल्ड पर कब्जा जमाया है।

इस ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि पर बीकानेर में भारतीय शतरंज संघ के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष और राजस्थान शतरंज संघ के अध्यक्ष महावीर रांका ने बीकानेर के शतरंज प्रेमियों के साथ केक काटा और मिठाई बाँट कर बधाइयां दी।

अध्यक्ष रांका ने बताया कि केन्द्रीय कानून मंत्री अर्जुनराम मेघवाल ने भी शतरंज खिलाडिय़ों की इस गोल्डन जीत पर बधाइयां प्रेषित की है। जीत के जश्न में महेश शर्मा, एडवोकेट शैलेष गुप्ता, एसएल हर्ष, चंद्रेश हर्ष, युधिष्ठर सिंह भाटी व डीपी छीपा सहित कई शतरंज खिलाडिय़ों के अलावा खेल प्रेमी उपस्थित रहे।

रांका ने बताया कि भारत ने दो साल पहले चेस ओलंपियाड में ब्रॉन्ज मेडल जीता था। इससे पहले 2014 में भी उसे ब्रॉन्ज ही मिला था। यह पहली बार हुआ है, जब चेस ओलंपियाड में भारत ने इन दोनों सेक्शन में गोल्ड जीते हैं।

हंगरी की राजधानी बुडापेस्ट में खेले जा रहे 45वें चेस ओलंपियाड में गुकेश ने व्लादिमीर फेडोसीव को हराया, जबकि एरिगैसी ने जान सुबेल को मात दी। भारतीय पुरुषों ने इस टूर्नामेंट में शानदार खेल दिखाया।

उन्होंने लगातार 8 मुकाबले जीते और इसके बाद डिफेंडिंग चैम्पियन उज्बेकिस्तान से ड्रॉ खेला। इसके बाद 21 सितंबर को उसने टॉप सीड वाली अमेरिकी टीम को मात देकर एक तरह से गोल्ड हासिल किया।

Bikaner, @MaruSangramnews. For the first time in the history of Chess Olympiad, India has done what could never be done before in 97 years.

On the strength of D Gukesh and Arjun Erigaisi, India has created history by winning the gold medal in the open section of Chess Olympiad. Apart from this, India has also captured the gold in the women’s section.

On this historic achievement, National Vice President of Indian Chess Association and President of Rajasthan Chess Association Mahavir Ranka cut the cake with the chess lovers of Bikaner and congratulated them by distributing sweets.

President Ranka said that Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has also congratulated the chess players on their golden victory. Apart from many chess players including Mahesh Sharma, Advocate Shailesh Gupta, SL Harsh, Chandresh Harsh, Yudhishthir Singh Bhati and DP Chipa, sports lovers were also present in the celebration of the victory.

Ranka said that India had won the bronze medal in the Chess Olympiad two years ago. Before this, it had also won bronze in 2014. This is the first time that India has won gold in both these sections in the Chess Olympiad.

In the 45th Chess Olympiad being played in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, Gukesh defeated Vladimir Fedoseev, while Erigasi defeated Jan Subel. Indian men showed excellent performance in this tournament.

They won 8 matches in a row and after that played a draw with defending champion Uzbekistan. After this, on September 21, it won the gold by defeating the top seeded American team.
