अब आनलाइन कोर्स शुरू कर सकेगा विश्वविद्यालय

कोटा, @MaruSangram। वर्धमान महावीर खुला विश्वविद्यालय ने गुरुवार को एक ऐतिहासिक उपलब्ध हासिल की। विश्वविद्यालय को राष्ट्रीय मूल्यांकन एवं प्रत्यानयन परिषद यानी नैक की ओर से ‘ए’ ग्रेड प्रदान किया गया है।

विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर कैलाश सोडाणी ने बताया कि बीते डेढ़ महीने के अंदर दो बार नैक की टीम ने विश्वविद्यालय का मूल्यांकन किया।

पहली बार नैक की टीम ने 7, 8 और 9 अगस्त में विश्वविद्यालय के परिसर और विश्वविद्यालय के कई क्षेत्रीय केंद्र की कार्यप्रणाली और व्यवस्थाओं का जायजा लिया। पहली विजिट में देश के सात राज्यों के शिक्षाविद शामिल हुए।

इस विजिट का नेतृत्व कोलकाता के जाने-माने शिक्षाविद प्रोफेसर शुभशंकर सरकार ने किया। पहला दौरा संपन्न होने के बाद बंगलौर स्थित नैक मुख्यालय को तकनीकी वजहों से दूसरी विजिट कराने का निर्णय लेना पड़ा।

नैक टीम की दूसरी विजिट बीते दिनों 20, 21 और 22 सितंबर को आयोजित हुई। इसमें भी देश के 6 राज्यों के जाने-माने छह शिक्षाविदों ने भाग लिया और वीएमओयू की सभी व्यवस्थाओं का जायजा लिया। इसका नेतृत्व उड़ीसा की जानी-मानी शिक्षाविद प्रोफेसर मधुमिता दास ने किया। टीम ने अपनी रिपोर्ट 22 सितंबर को ऑनलाइन बंगलौर स्थित नैक मुख्यालय को भेज दी।

नैक मुख्यालय ने 27 सितंबर देर शाम विश्वविद्यालय को ‘ए’ ग्रेड प्रदान करने की घोषणा करते हुए ई-मेल भेजा।

‘ए’ ग्रेड मिलने के बाद विश्वविद्यालय के पूरे स्टाफ में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई और सभी को आपस में बधाईयां देने का तांता लग गया। कुलपति प्रोफेसर सोडाणी ने बताया कि वर्ष 1987 में यूनिवर्सिटी बनी थी और आज लगभग 37 वर्ष के उपरांत उच्च शिक्षा में पढ़ाई की उत्कृष्ट गुणवत्ता और नवीन तकनीकी कार्य प्रणाली को लेकर नैक ने ‘ए’ ग्रेड प्रदान किया है।

उन्होंने बताया कि यह ग्रेड अगले पांच वर्षों के लिए मिला है और उसके बाद पुनः नैक की टीम द्वारा मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा।

प्रोफेसर सोडाणी ने कहा कि मुक्त एवं दूरस्थ शिक्षा में विश्वविद्यालय ने पूरे राजस्थान में एक बड़ा मुकाम हासिल किया है और आने वाले समय में खुला विश्वविद्यालय अनेक परिवर्तन करते हुए उच्च शिक्षा के नए मानदंड स्थापित करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि अब छात्र-छात्राओं का विश्वविद्यालय के प्रति और विश्वास बढ़ेगा।

उन्होंने कहा कि अब आनलाइन कोर्स शुरू कर सकेगा विश्वविद्यालय। बताते चलें कि कोटा हाड़ौती संभाग में यह पहला सरकार का विश्वविद्यालय है जिसे नैक ने ‘ए’ ग्रेड प्रदान किया है।

Now the university will be able to start online courses

Kota, @MaruSangram. Vardhman Mahavir Open University achieved a historic milestone on Thursday. The university has been awarded ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

University Vice-Chancellor Professor Kailash Sodani said that within the last one and a half month, the NAAC team evaluated the university twice.

For the first time, the NAAC team took stock of the functioning and arrangements of the university campus and several regional centers of the university on 7, 8 and 9 August. Academics from seven states of the country participated in the first visit.

The visit was led by Professor Shubhashankar Sarkar, a renowned educationist from Kolkata. After the completion of the first visit, the NAAC headquarters in Bangalore had to take a decision to conduct a second visit due to technical reasons.

The second visit of the NAAC team was organized on 20, 21 and 22 September. In this too, six renowned educationists from six states of the country participated and took stock of all the arrangements of VMOU. It was led by Professor Madhumita Das, a renowned educationist from Orissa. The team sent its report online to the NAC headquarters in Bangalore on September 22.

The NAAC headquarters sent an e-mail late on the evening of September 27 announcing the award of ‘A’ grade to the university.

After getting ‘A’ grade, there was a wave of happiness among the entire staff of the university and everyone started congratulating each other. Vice Chancellor Professor Sodani said that the university was established in the year 1987 and today, after almost 37 years, NAAC has awarded ‘A’ grade for the excellent quality of studies and innovative technical working system in higher education.

He told that this grade has been given for the next five years and after that it will be re-evaluated by the NAAC team.

Professor Sodani said that the university has achieved a big position in open and distance education in the whole of Rajasthan and in the coming times, the open university will bring many changes and set new standards of higher education. He said that now the confidence of the students towards the university will increase further.

He said that now the university will be able to start online courses. Let us tell you that this is the first government university in Kota Hadoti division which has been awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
