थार मरुस्थल की जैव विविधता पर एमजीएसयू के प्रो॰ छंगाणी का विस्तार व्याख्यान जोधपुर विश्वविद्यालय में आयोजित….

बीकानेर, @MaruSangram। जय नारायण व्यास विश्वविद्यालय जोधपुर के प्राणी शास्त्र विभाग में आज थार मरुस्थल की जैव विविधता पर एमजीएसयू के प्रो अनिल कुमार छंगाणी का विस्तार व्याख्यान आयोजित किया गया।

विश्वविद्यालय मीडिया प्रभारी डॉ॰ मेघना शर्मा ने बताया कि इस अवसर पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता जोधपुर विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो के एल श्रीवास्तव द्वारा की गई।

प्राणी विज्ञान विभाग के विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. नरेश व्यास ने कहा कि प्रोफेसर छंगाणी इसी विभाग और विश्वविद्यालय की एलुमिनाई है, तथा इन्होंने इसी विभाग से स्नातकोत्तर,शोध एवं डी एससी का कार्य संपन्न किया था।

उन्होंने बताया कि नई राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति को ध्यान में रखते हुए छात्रों के सर्वांगीण विकास हेतु इस तरह के व्याख्यान विभाग में समय-समय पर कराए जा रहे हैं।    

प्रो. छंगाणी ने अपने व्याख्यान में बताया कि, थार मरुस्थल की जैव विविधता बहुत ही समृद्ध है, और यहां के जीवन में इसका बहुत बड़ा योगदान है।

इस जैव विविधता के चलते कोविड महामारी के दौरान भी थार मरुस्थल के लोगों को जीवन यापन हेतु बहुत बड़ा सहयोग दिया। लेकिन आज थार की जैव विविधता को मानव गतिविधियों से बहुत बड़ा नुकसान हो रहा है।

प्राकृतिक संसाधनों के अंधाधुन दोहन, सौर ऊर्जा की परियोजनाओं और अन्य विकास के कार्य थार की जैव विविधता को सबसे बड़ा खतरा है।

इस अवसर एक्स्टेंशन एक्टिविटी सेल की निदेशक , प्रो. कांता कटारिया, प्रो. सीमा त्रिवेदी, प्रो. जीआर परिहार, विभाग के अन्य संकाय सदस्य, छात्र एवं शोधार्थी उपस्थित थे। कार्यक्रम का संचालन विभाग की सह आचार्य डॉ मीनाक्षी मीणा ने किया।
  
                  

Extension lecture of MGSU’s Prof. Chhangani on the biodiversity of Thar Desert was organized in Jodhpur University.

Bikaner, @MaruSangram. An extension lecture by Prof. Anil Kumar Chhangani of MGSU on the biodiversity of Thar Desert was organized today in the Department of Zoology, Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur.

University Media In-charge Dr. Meghna Sharma said that the program organized on this occasion was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Jodhpur University, Prof. KL Srivastava.

Head of Department of Zoology, Prof. Naresh Vyas said that Professor Chhangani is an alumnus of this department and university, and he had completed his post-graduation, research and D.Sc. from this department.

He said that keeping in mind the new National Education Policy, such lectures are being organized from time to time in the department for the all-round development of the students.

Pro. Chhangani told in his lecture that the biodiversity of the Thar Desert is very rich, and it has a huge contribution in the life here.

Due to this biodiversity, it provided great support to the people of Thar Desert for their livelihood even during the Covid pandemic. But today the biodiversity of Thar is suffering huge loss due to human activities.

Indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources, solar energy projects and other development works are the biggest threats to the biodiversity of Thar.

On this occasion, Director of Extension Activity Cell, Prof. Kanta Kataria, Prof. Seema Trivedi, Prof. GR Parihar, other faculty members of the department, students and researchers were present. The program was conducted by Dr. Meenakshi Meena, associate professor of the department.
