चक्रवाती तूफान बिपरजॉय खतरनाक रूप लेकर गुरुवार देर शाम को 125 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार की हवाओं के साथ गुजरात के सौराष्ट्र और कच्छ से टकराया। तेज हवाओं के कारण इन इलाकों में हजारों पेड़ और खंभे ताश के पत्तों की तरह गिरने लगे। मौसम विभाग ने अगले 48 घंटे गुजरात के लिए भारी बताए हैं।

मौसम विज्ञान ने बताया कि लैंडफॉल शुक्रवार तडक़े तक जारी रहेगा और इस दौरान हवाओं की रफ्तार 150 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा तक पहुंच सकती है। चक्रवात के खतरे को देखते हुए 95 हजार से ज्यादा लोगों को तटीय इलाकों से पहले ही रेस्क्यू किया जा चुका है।

कमांडर कोस्ट गार्ड रीजन-नॉर्थ वेस्ट के इंस्पेक्टर जनरल एके हरबोला ने बताया कि हमने गुजरात में 15 जहाज और सात एयरक्राफ्ट तैयार रखे हैं। एनडीआरएफ की 27 टीमें भी तैनात हैं।

मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, गुजरात के अलावा 10 अन्य राज्यों में इस तूफान का असर देखा जा रहा है। इनमें राजस्थान, महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, लक्षद्वीप, केरल, असम, अरुणाचल प्रदेश, मेघालय शामिल हैं। यहां के कई इलाकों में तेज हवाएं चल रही हैं और बारिश हो रही है।

गुजरात मौसम विभाग ने बताया कि यह तूफान दक्षिणी अरब सागर में बनने के बाद गुजरात तट के करीब पहुंचने तक कई बार रास्ता बदलता रहा है।

इससे इसकी तीव्रता में उतार-चढ़ाव आता रहा है। अभी इसकी तीव्रता खतरनाक है। गुजरात के प्रभावित आठ जिलों से 95 हजार से ज्यादा लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचा दिया गया है

Taking a dangerous form, cyclonic storm Biparjoy hit Gujarat’s Saurashtra and Kutch late Thursday evening with winds of 125 km per hour. Meteorological said that the landfall will continue till early Friday and during this time the wind speed can reach up to 150 kilometers per hour. In view of the threat of cyclone, more than 95 thousand people have already been rescued from the coastal areas.

Inspector General of Commander Coast Guard Region-North West AK Harbola told that we have kept 15 ships and seven aircraft ready in Gujarat. 27 teams of NDRF are also deployed.

According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Gujarat, the effect of this storm is being seen in 10 other states. These include Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Kerala, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya. Strong winds are blowing in many areas here and it is raining.

The Gujarat Meteorological Department said that after forming in the southern Arabian Sea, the storm kept changing its path several times till it reached close to the Gujarat coast.

Due to this its intensity has been fluctuating. Right now its intensity is dangerous. More than 95 thousand people have been shifted to safer places from eight affected districts of Gujarat.
